FARMER’S LITTLE PIGS
Farmer had some little pigs
that were meant to go to market,
but the country went to Lockdown
so the pigs stayed home with Farmer.
They followed him all round the farm
and kept him sane in isolation,
they made the very best of pets,
they nearly had a conversation.
When the Lockdown ended
and they lifted the restrictions,
the piggies didn’t want to leave,
and Farmer didn’t do evictions.
He kept his pigs there on the farm
and never went to market,
he nearly starved to death himself
but that, he felt, was worth it.
Those little pigs had saved his bacon
in the long and lonely days of Covid,
so Farmer them live with him,
for as long as the piggies choose it.
