and skinny lattes,

and espressos for the buzz.

Some time

for themselves

from the mayhem,

the kids in the crèches

and the housework done.

No topic sacred

on cold benches,

feelings shared and gripes aired,

mobiles unanswered

in bags on the ground.

Hands warmed

on the cardboard containers,

lifelines for busy mums.

An essential elixir for every mother,

when children are young.
