CRAZY OLD CAT LADY

When I grow old

what I want to be,

is the crazy old cat lady.

To live alone,

with all my cats,

to please no one

but them and me.

There’s always one

in every town,

that everybody talks of,

who shares her house

with umpteen cats, she treats

like sons and daughters.

That will be me

in my old age,

I do sincerely hope,

housework I’ll no longer do

my only job,

to pet and stroke.
