MY BEACH HUT

There’s a beach hut

somewhere in the Caribbean,

waiting for me.

It’s got tall palm trees, a clear sky,

and the bluest deep blue sea.

The sun shines each and every day,

the sunsets are amazing,

the sea is warm

and I can swim,

from morning until evening.

There’s a waiter with a smile

who delivers door to door,

he loads a tray

with long tall drinks,

and brings them down the shore.

If only it was closer,

I haven’t got there yet,

all I can do is dream and hope

my beach hut’s there,

when I’m no longer broke.
