MY OWN PERSONAL

ISLAND

I want to live

in a secluded valley,

at the back of beyond.

I want tall mountains

to hide behind,

I don’t want to be found.

I’d like water between me

and the rest of the world,

flowing too fast for boats.

I’d like a little house,

on my personal island

just big enough for me,

and there I’d have peace

to live as I please,

and to please only me.
