She sings like an angel,

with eyes closed,

and wings

practically visible,

lost in a space

of her own.

Her sweet tones

rise and swoop,

on the still stage,

and pull a tear

from hard hearts,

and dry eyes.

Her gift a marvel,

one small girl

who offers many

the chance to soar,

on angel’s wings,

and feel, the whole world.
