THE GOOD FROCK.

This is my good frock,

I've been saving it.

It's pretty and soft,

it swishes and swirls,

I'm sure when I put it on

I'll feel like the prettiest girl

in the world.

I've been waiting so long

for just the right time,

the special occasion

to claim it as mine.

It hasn't come yet.

Weddings and balls

came and went,

I waited and saved it,

and wore my old grey dress

instead.

Maybe I've left it

a little too late,

I hope it still fits

when the day comes around,

that I know is the one

when I finally put on

my best dress,

my posh frock.
