THE GREENER GRASS

While eating grass in the morning,

one sheep

called over to the other sheep,

your grass looks greener today.

The second sheep replied,

and said

well do you know,

I was just thinking the same, about yours.

It looks luscious and sweet and fresh

with a sprinkling

of daisies and clover,

and hints of buttercup too.

The first sheep's eyes widened

with envy

at the grass on the other side

and didn't even hear that lyrical description.

Both sheep stared across at what

they felt

they didn't each have,

and even the river ran green.
