TIGER LILLY

Lilly frets about the tigers,

the last of their kind.

To keep them safe

she takes them in,

and makes room on the sofa.

Lilly thinks she’ll save the world,

if she just cares enough,

that if she holds tight

they wont bite,

and she’ll raise a future generation.

Lilly thinks it’s very simple,

and maybe she’s right,

she says that we can

save the planet

by loving every thing that’s in it.

Lilly may be very foolish,

and she may be eaten

by those tigers,

or maybe we’re the foolish ones,

and Lilly’s loving heart is wiser.
