THE PET PIG

There was a girl who followed trends

and wanted what the rest had bought,

and she didn't even think about

if it suited her or not.

A few years back the rage was all

for tiny pigs as pets,

spurred on by the lead of celebrities

and against the advice of vets.

She bought the smallest cutest pinkest

pig that she could find,

and brought it home to live in a flat

without a garden out behind.

The little pig grew, as they do,

and swallowed up the space,

it took up half the sofa

and made a pigsty of the place.

It's going to live a longer time

than any passing trend,

and now she's stuck with a huge big pig

and only half the bed.
