THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SPRING

First, there will be winter

with heavy grey days and long dark nights

that feel like they have no end in sight.

But then there will be spring.

There will be the dark of night

and some nights will drag forever

but just when it feels like it will never end,

the soft light of dawn will always come.

There will be people we lose along the way,

and our hearts will break.

But there will be new friends too

that we have yet to meet, and new days to live.

We must wait, in the darkness of winter

for the dawn of spring, for there will always

be spring, and there will always be morning,

and there will always, eventually, be hope.
